Moon over Miran

I have been playing with the settings on the cellphone camera as of late and played with the low light settings last night. I didnt use a flash, So you can see how the same shot worked with a regular setting and and then flipping it over to low light. Its amazing isnt it? The full moon is always a wonderful subject.

Color changing crosses.

 

I have never noticed this church cross before.. I was driving home from work and I stopped at the post office.. on the back road on the way home I saw the lights changing color and then I came across the reason. So pretty..  Just thought I would share the pretty colors. Cell phone photo no enhancements.

The sun came out this morning and it was sooo awesome looking I had to take pics while I was leaving and then later while I was on my way to work. The top one is at a stop light through my windshield. The sun was so damned bright though. I love how that is after rain. The bottom one was when I first came outside and looked up at the sky and knew it was going to be a good day. Anyway.. these were taken with the cell.. in motion.. no filters or enhancers. Maybe the sky was so lovely because today was Terin Kilborne's birthday and she shines like the sun. Happy Birthday Terin!

I get paid to do this all day. Yay! At home depot webhave these store compititions called "Gold Cup" where stores in our district try and set up an event better then all the others. So today I spent 7 out of 8 hours making signs and pictures..here is the start of my display....

The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plains.

Just before the Thunder these clouds moved in towards each other and then there was a huge boom. I like the look of the leaves against the storm.

What more is there to say then God is good? I love that he makes something like this for Valentine's Day to share with your loved ones and in my case today... my co-workers.

Stormy weather. .

This will be brief since my computer is updating and I am doing it from my phone. I often stop and take pictures when I'm driving and I see the sky lit up like this with the clouds. I love when the weather is cloudy and photo worthy. This was taken on my cell with no filters.

Saturday night we were at the Double Down Saloon in Las Vegas to see Soto St and the Vegascendents. Those guys were super awesome. They did amazing Descendents covers. I was totally stoked to see them.

Sunday we woke up early and drove back to California. On the way the sky opened up and the sun was shining down like this.. amazing...

Viva Lost Wages

This is a quickie post from Vegas. We were walking from our hotel to Treasure Island for a brunch buffet when we saw a bunch of Elvis dudes walking around. Apparently it was a bachelor party. Who knew? Having a great time. But I'm taking a nap!

Im only happy when it rains....

This morning I woke up and took the kids to school. Walking out to the car I looked up at the sky and I was amazed at how awesome it looked. This was taken with the HDR setting on my cell phone camera and it just makes it look all the more awesome.

Mr. Kaster and I will be in Las Vegas for the next couple of days so I will be posting from Sin City off my cell phone so lets hope the app works well!

Cuteness... thats all I have to say about that.

My friend came into the shop today where I work and she brought me the cutest little surprise. This little pint sized ball of awesome is Lily. She is nine months old but was born like four months premature so she is more like five months old. But OMG! She is sooo awesome. I wanna love her and hug her and kiss her and call her George.

The pics are kind of blurry because she doesnt sit still very well with her fingers in her mouth with her teething but none the less she is a ball of total cuteness!

This photo I took with my cellphone in the car on my way to drop the kids off at school. That ball of light is the sun not the moon.. and that gray nasty around it is fog not smoke. I love how the sun looks like its winning the battle against crap weather at all costs. Its a color photo too.. that's just how the world looked all over that morning I loved it so I had to take a picture.

I always wake up at between 5:45 and 6:10 am to get the kids up and make lunch for Nathan and them for school. Today was no exception to this rule and when I started pulling out the fruit I noticed this little beauty. I put it in Nathan's box because an apple a day keeps the Doctor away and now he knows that my heart always follows him when he leaves.. and now.. even when he eats. Ha! Living in the Land of the Lost

My hubby made a suggestion that on Sunday we head out to the La Brea Tarpits in L.A since I had the day off and neither one of us is a huge fan of football. So we packed up our kids and headed out to L.A. The Tar Pits are cool for the most part. My Hubs isnt a big reader so he hates when we go to museums and stuff and I take the time to read all the little plaques and things that explain what it is you are looking at. This however was the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. I never would of thought these animals were so damned big. Here is a complete skeleton of a Colombian Mammoth. The damned thing was HUGE. Looking at the boy in the green shirt off to the side can give you an idea.. being as he is my son and the kid is 6'2" tall. Anyway the pic was taken with the same cellphone as the others and no addons or enhancements were harmed in the making of this photo. :)

If you haven't already noticed... I am not one to skirt from a challenge. The other day at work one of my co-workers told me to take the list of the people on the floor that day and draw a characiture of each of us in 60 seconds or less. Needless to say.. Roy looks like a beat nick.. Richard looks like the troll from all the facebook meme's Maria looks like Lucy from Charlie Brown, I look like a crazy cat lady and Derrick.. well he looks like a big cheeked cartoon version of himself. All in all.. I hope no one asks me to do it again if they want them to look good! LOL This was taken with the Camera on my Samsung SIII no enhancements or changes were made to the picture. 

 

Jesus loves the little children

This picture was taken last month at my niece and namesakes wedding. The church had this statue of Jesus Christ in front surrounded by children and I have admired this statue for years. I think its an amazing image. It stands infront of Christ Lutheran Church in Brea California. Little Marissa Colleen finally got married..I had to take the pic as a reminder. Anyway.. it was such a pretty afternoon it just becomes a breathtaking picture and a reminder.. that " Jesus loves the little children.. all the little children of the world." February 1st 2013 Here we goooo.......

Earlier this week we had a full moon. I love the full moon in all its infinite wisdom and amazement. Its inspiring because you know another cycle has come to an end and we are gifted with one more day. I was at the grocery store and I happened to come out and look up when I was putting the bags in my trunk and this is what I saw.
